The forward, sidelined by acute gastroenteritis, has lost weight and is not yet fully fit, keeping him out of the matches against Al Hilal, Pachuca, and now the Austrian side. Although he completed a gym session on Tuesday and trained with the group on Wednesday, the coaching staff decided not to take any risks.

In addition to Mbappé, Spanish manager Xabi Alonso will also be without young center-back Raúl Asencio, who is suspended after receiving a red card just seven minutes into the last match against Pachuca.
