Liverpool's Conditions for Alexander-Arnold to Play the Club World Cup with Real Madrid
Liverpool will demand a symbolic transfer fee from Real Madrid to allow Trent Alexander-Arnold to join early
Step by step, Trent Alexander-Arnold’s move to Real Madrid is starting to take shape. The first step the player needed to take was to publicly say goodbye to Liverpool fans, and he did so this very morning via a statement on social media. Now it’s Real Madrid’s turn, as they must meet a series of conditions in order to bring the English full-back early for the upcoming Club World Cup.

Liverpool won’t oppose Alexander-Arnold’s early move to Real Madrid
It’s no secret that Real Madrid wants to bring in Alexander-Arnold as soon as possible—this was made clear during the last winter transfer window, when they made an offer to Liverpool to speed up his arrival. However, it now appears that they will have to reopen negotiations with Liverpool’s top officials in order to reach an agreement that satisfies both sides, so that Alexander-Arnold can wear the Real Madrid jersey in the Club World Cup.
Liverpool will not block this early transfer as a way to punish the player for leaving on a free transfer. For many fans, it feels like a betrayal by Trent Alexander-Arnold, who joined the academy at just six years old, was given the chance to become one of the world’s best full-backs, and won everything with the club of his life. Still, just because Liverpool won’t stand in the way of his early move to the Santiago Bernabéu doesn’t mean they don’t expect something in return.
Liverpool will demand a symbolic transfer fee for Alexander-Arnold
According to information from 'Diario AS', Liverpool would be willing to release Alexander-Arnold after the final matchday of the Premier League, in exchange for a symbolic transfer fee of one million euros from Real Madrid. In addition, Liverpool believes it is fair not to pay the remaining month of salary due until his contract officially ends at Anfield on June 30.
If Real Madrid was willing to pay around 20 million euros to bring him in during the winter window, there's no reason to think they won’t accept these financial terms in order to have Alexander-Arnold available for the Club World Cup. Especially since they still need to reach an agreement with Lucas Vázquez to extend his current contract until the Club World Cup ends, before he needs to find a new team.
