Jude Bellingham Already Thinking About Winning the Club World Cup With Real Madrid
Jude Bellingham, star midfielder for Real Madrid, has underlined the importance of the upcoming 2025 Club World Cup, which will be held in the United States, calling it “a great challenge” for the club. The English international expressed his ambition to win a new and historic title for Los Blancos.
“The Club World Cup is a unique opportunity to win a different kind of title. We’ll try to be the first club to win it. In my opinion, Real Madrid deserves that kind of recognition,” he said in an interview published on the club’s official website.
Bellingham on the Club World Cup: “It’s a different challenge, but a special one”
For Bellingham, the FIFA tournament — which will bring together the 32 best clubs in the world — is a high-level competition and a historic chance to help Real Madrid continue making history.
“All titles are important. You’re playing against the other 31 best teams in the world, all of which earned their spot through achievements in their respective regions. It’s a big challenge. It may be different from the Champions League or LaLiga, but I want to be able to look back and say, ‘I won that title’.”
He also noted that this new format has the potential to grow and become one of the most prestigious tournaments on the international calendar.
United States: The perfect stage for a historic victory
The English midfielder also highlighted the excitement of playing in America, a less familiar setting for Real Madrid, and facing teams from different football cultures.
“It’s a great opportunity to play in a place I’m not used to, like the United States, and against teams we normally don’t get to face. There are a lot of positives. The chance to be the first to win another title is something we take seriously,” he added.
Real Madrid’s motivation: Making history in the Club World Cup
With 14 Champions League trophies already in the cabinet, Real Madrid is no stranger to football greatness. For Bellingham, the 2025 Club World Cup represents a rare chance to achieve something completely new:
“It’s something historic. There aren’t many things you can do at this club that haven’t already been done. It’s nice to have a fresh opportunity to do something no one else has,” he concluded.
