Florentino Pérez Demands Club World Cup from Alexander-Arnold
Florentino Perez, president of Real Madrid, made no room for doubt during the official unveiling of Trent Alexander-Arnold as the club latest signing. In a ceremony held at the basketball pavilion of Real Madrid City, the club president set the bar high, identifying the English full-back first challenge: winning the FIFA Club World Cup.

Signing a six-year contract, Alexander-Arnold begins a new chapter in his career one that, according to Perez, will be guided by the values that have shaped Real Madrid over its 123 year history.

Perez also took the opportunity to praise Alexander-Arnold decision to join Real Madrid after an illustrious spell at Liverpool, where he won nine titles in 354 matches, scoring 23 goals and providing nearly 90 assists.
“One of the best full-backs in the world is joining us a player who won it all and who has left his mark at one of the most prestigious clubs in football, Liverpool,” Perez emphasized.
“At just 26 years old, you’re already a legend, and now you want to continue writing your football love story as part of our great family. You could have joined any club in the world, but you chose us and that something we’ll never forget,” he added.

Perez also acknowledged the sacrifices made by Alexander-Arnold parents, who were present at the event, in helping their son achieve his footballing dream.
“You’re now part of the most loved, admired, and decorated club in the world the club with 15 European Cups. If you’ve chosen to play for Real Madrid, it’s because your talent and dedication convinced you that here, you’ll achieve even more success,” he said.
The club president also mentioned the warm environment Alexander-Arnold will find, including close friend Jude Bellingham:
