Endrick Joins Real Madrid At The Club World Cup After Recovering From Injury
The young Brazilian has arrived in Miami to join the Real Madrid squad, though he’s not yet ready to play. Xabi Alonso wants to integrate him into the team dynamic as soon as possible.
Endrick Travels To The U.S. After Completing His Rehab
After nearly a month and a half out with a hamstring tendon injury in his right leg, Endrick has now been called up to join Real Madrid’s training camp in Miami, where the team is competing in the Club World Cup. The forward, who suffered the injury on May 18 in a match against Sevilla, completed his rehabilitation in Spain and flew to the United States this Saturday to rejoin the squad.
The injury sidelined him from the final matchdays of LaLiga, two fixtures with the Brazil national team, and the early stages of the international tournament. While he is not yet fit to take the field, the Real Madrid medical and technical staff believe it’s important for him to be around the group and continue adapting within the locker room environment.
Xabi Alonso Wants To Accelerate His Integration
New Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso is eager to integrate the young striker into the squad’s system as quickly as possible. Though Endrick won’t be available for Tuesday’s Round of 16 clash against Juventus in the Club World Cup, he will be present with the group during the team’s preparations.
The plan is for the Brazilian to continue his recovery under the supervision of the club’s medical staff in Miami. If his progress goes well, he could begin to gradually join team training sessions later in the week.
For that upcoming match against the Italian side, Alonso will have Raúl Asencio back after serving a suspension, as well as Kylian Mbappé, who was previously ruled out due to a virus that even led to his hospitalization.
The arrival of Endrick, even if he is not yet match-ready, marks a significant step in his integration into the team’s competitive environment. Real Madrid is committed to a gradual adaptation process that prepares him physically and mentally for what’s ahead—while also allowing him to experience firsthand the intensity and rhythm of a world-class tournament at the very start of his journey with the club.
