Bellingham slams ‘clowns’ over false reports on Alonso relationship
After Xabi Alonso left his role as Real Madrid head coach by mutual agreement on Monday, Jude Bellingham has denied reports of a rift.
Jude Bellingham has called out the “clowns” who reported that there was a rift between him and former Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso.
Alonso parted ways with the LaLiga outfit by mutual agreement on Monday, just a day after their Supercopa de Espana defeat in Saudi Arabia to Clasico rivals Barcelona.
The Spaniard was in charge for just seven months, taking the reins ahead of the Club World Cup last summer, and won 70.6% of his matches (P34 W24 D4 L6).
Los Blancos are also second in LaLiga, four points behind Barca, while they are also on course to finish in the top eight of the league phase in the Champions League.
However, there were reports earlier in the season that Alonso had disagreements with players such as Vinicius Junior and Bellingham.
England international Bellingham, who has scored four goals and provided three assists in 15 LaLiga games this season, has rubbished any rumours of a problem between himself and Alonso.
“Until now I've left far too many of these slide, always hoping the truth will come to light in its own time,” he said on his JB5 app.
“Truly feel sorry for the people that hang on to every word of these clowns and their 'sources'.
“Do not believe everything you read, every now and then these lot need to be held accountable for speaking this kind of damaging misinformation for clicks and added controversy.”
Alvaro Arbeloa has replaced Alonso, with his first match in charge coming in Madrid's Copa del Rey tie against Albacete on Wednesday.
Madrid are unbeaten in their last seven away games in all competitions (W4 D3), scoring an average of 2.2 goals per game, and could go eight consecutive away games without defeat for the first time since the start of the 2024-25 season.
