The Quarter-Final Matchups in the Copa Sudamericana Are Approaching

The 2026 Copa Sudamericana is entering its hottest phase, the quarter-final matchups are already set, and eight teams dream of reaching the grand final

The Copa Sudamericana has already defined its quarter-final protagonists. Boca Juniors, Sao Paulo, City Torque, Atlético Mineiro, Cienciano, Vasco da Gama, Independiente Santa Fe, and Santos made it to the top eight and dream of reaching the grand final on November 21 in Barranquilla, Colombia.

The first leg matches

On Tuesday, September 8, the series will open with Santa Fe facing Vasco da Gama at the Nemesio Camacho El Campín Stadium, and Boca Juniors against Sao Paulo at La Bombonera, a South American classic that promises strong emotions.

On Wednesday the 9th, it will be Santos' turn against Atlético Mineiro at the Estádio Urbano Caldeira, while on Thursday the 10th, Cienciano will host City Torque at the Estadio Inca Garcilaso de la Vega, looking to strengthen their position in Cusco.

The return matches

The final decision will come the following week. On Tuesday the 15th, Vasco da Gama will host Santa Fe at São Januário, and São Paulo will welcome Boca at Morumbi, in another high-voltage clash.

On Wednesday the 16th, Atlético Mineiro will seek to close the series at Arena MRV against Santos, and on Thursday the 17th, City Torque will try to confirm their passage at Estadio Charrúa against Cienciano.
