Looking for a clinch 

Santos might well have one foot in August's Round of 16 phase in the 2026 Copa Sudamericana, but that doesn't mean that there is not drama afoot in tonight's playoff clash against Universidad Central, live on beIN SPORTS.

The Brazilian side came away from last week's away clash in Venezuela with a convincing 4-1 win to put them firmly in contention over the two legs. The drama has arisen from the imitable figure of Neymar both on and off the pitch. The footballer was in inspirational form over the weekend, scoring both goals in a 2-2 draw against Chapecoense. 

Santos is under complications

However, the result was another disappointing one for Santos in the Brazilian league where the team is 14th in standings. Media reports said that there was a post-match locker room bust-up with some of the club's younger players over their performance during the season.

Neymar has since come out on social media to say that there was a general locker room conversation lead by the veteran players and that the squad was united.

The Brazilian star will be looking for another opportunity to lead from the front and ensure that the club's key Copa Sudamericana campaign continues.
