Racing started strongly and took the lead early through Santiago Sosa in the 4th minute following a goalkeeper error.
Botafogo responded before halftime with goals from Arthur Cabral (23') and Júnior Santos (41'), turning the game around.
In the second half, Racing equalized through Adrián Martínez in the 64th minute, setting up a tense finish.
