Platense controlled key phases of the match and created several chances before breaking the deadlock in the second half.
Tomás Nasif (57') opened the scoring with a header, followed by Mateo Mendía (63'), who doubled the lead with a similar finish.
A potential turning point came earlier when Iván Gómez was initially sent off, but VAR downgraded the decision to a yellow card.

Late goal not enough for Santa Fe
Santa Fe pulled one back through Franco Fagúndez (93'), but the comeback fell short.
