Copa Libertadores 2025: Thrilling Semifinals as Flamengo, Racing, Ldu Quito, and Palmeiras Chase Glory
One thing is certain at this decisive stage: no matter who advances, the final will be explosive. With four powerhouse clubs in the semifinals, the spectacle is guaranteed. On one side, a modern classic between Flamengo and Racing, packed with history; on the other, a high-voltage clash between LDU Quito and Palmeiras. Each team boasts a star-studded lineup featuring international figures and rising talents — all hungry for glory. And best of all: you can watch it all exclusively on beIN SPORTS.
Flamengo vs. Racing: Experience meets mystique
The first leg kicks off this Wednesday at 8:30 PM ET / 5:30 PM PT at the Maracanã, where Flamengo will host Racing under coach Gustavo Costas. The Brazilian side comes in red-hot form after a 3-2 win over Palmeiras in the Brasileirão Serie A on Sunday, once again proving to be an offensive powerhouse.

The Mengão features a stacked and star-studded squad, with several players boasting European experience: Pedro, Matías Viña, Jorginho, Gonzalo Plata, Danilo, Erick Pulgar, and Saúl Ñíguez lead a team built on experience, creativity, and attacking firepower.
On the other side, La Academia relies on grit, mystique, and the tactical wisdom of its manager. Despite a more modest budget and several absences, Racing trusts a united group that blends youth, discipline, and talent. Defensively, Marcos Rojo, Di Cesare, and Martirena stand out, while in attack, names like Balboa, Duván Vergara, Degregorio, Solari, Zaracho, and the relentless Maravilla Martínez promise a fierce fight to the end.
LDU Quito vs. Palmeiras: Altitude, talent, and ambition
The second semifinal takes place this Thursday at 8:30 PM ET / 5:30 PM PT, and it promises another high-level showdown. Palmeiras travels to Quito, 2,734 meters above sea level, to face LDU (Liga Deportiva Universitaria) at the legendary Casa Blanca Stadium.
The Brazilian giants arrive with a star-filled roster and an impressive budget: Vitor Roque, Andreas Pereira, Ramón Sosa, Jefté, and Felipe Anderson form part of a squad with tremendous attacking power. However, they’ll face an LDU Quito side that plays with something extra — heart and altitude.
The Ecuadorian club, built around a strong local core and bolstered by home advantage, has already proven it can topple Brazil’s best, eliminating Botafogo and São Paulo on their way to the semifinals. In attack, Michael Estrada, Lisandro Alzugaray, Brian Ramírez, and Gabriel Villamil lead the charge, while Haitian defender Ricardo Adé anchors a disciplined and solid back line.

The Albos know that taking a home advantage is crucial, as the return leg at the Allianz Parque will be nothing short of a furnace.
