The governing body ruled the match as a 3-0 victory for Flamengo and imposed fines totaling $116,278.90 on the Colombian club.
Massive fines and stadium punishment
Conmebol initially fined DIM $80,000 and added another $20,000 for behavior considered damaging to the image of South American football.
The club must also cover repair costs for broadcast vehicles and damaged Conmebol equipment.
The sanctions also include:
- five home matches behind closed doors,
- and two away games without traveling supporters.

What happened during DIM vs Flamengo?
The match at Atanasio Girardot Stadium on May 7 was suspended before the fourth minute.
DIM supporters launched pyrotechnics from the stands, creating heavy smoke and poor visibility on the pitch.
Objects were also thrown and some fans attempted to invade the field, prompting Venezuelan referee Jesús Valenzuela to suspend the game.
Flamengo secure first place in the group
With the ruling, Flamengo secured first place in Group A with 13 points.
DIM remain second with 7 points, followed by Estudiantes de La Plata with 6 and Cusco FC with 1.
DIM and Estudiantes will now battle for a place in the Round of 16 next week.
