Reports: Manchester City and Chelsea Compete for Valentín Barco from Boca Juniors
Valentín Barco, one of Boca Juniors' emerging talents, has attracted the interest of several major European teams, and recently, Chelsea has joined the race for the 19-year-old youth player who will compete in the Copa Libertadores final on November 4th at the Maracanã.
According to the British press, Manchester City and Brighton were previously two of the clubs interested in the player who is projected to become a star.
The Copa Libertadores 2023 final is scheduled for Saturday, November 4th. Comprehensive coverage will be available on beIN SPORTS, beginning at 3:30 PM Eastern Time and 12:30 PM Pacific Time.
In Argentina, they consider "Colo," as he is known, as a long-term investment, given his age and versatility on the field. He is a player who has drawn attention at Chelsea, where he would serve as a backup to Ben Chilwell.
At Manchester City, the current Premier League champions, there are reports of a supposed interest in bolstering their left-back position, where they are seeking a player with a natural profile and specialization in that area of the pitch.
We will have to wait to see where he puts pen to paper in the upcoming transfer market, although for now, he has a continental final ahead that could bring Boca Juniors their seventh Copa Libertadores trophy.
