The Best Bundesliga Signings for the 2026-27 Season

  • Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen have made major additions, while several other Bundesliga clubs have strengthened with established internationals and promising young talents.

The Bundesliga transfer window remains open until August 31, but several important deals have already been officially completed ahead of the 2026-27 season. From Bayern Munich’s reinforcement of their title-winning squad to ambitious moves from Borussia Dortmund and Bayer Leverkusen, these are some of the most notable confirmed arrivals so far.

Ismael Saibari — Bayern Munich

One of the headline moves is Ismael Saibari’s transfer from PSV Eindhoven to Bayern Munich. The 25-year-old Morocco international signed a contract until June 2031 after helping PSV win the Eredivisie. His ability to operate in several attacking positions gives Vincent Kompany another versatile option.

Bayern also signed Germany international Nathaniel Brown from Eintracht Frankfurt. The 23-year-old, capable of playing as a full-back or wing-back, also agreed a contract through 2031.

Konstantinos Karetsas — Borussia Dortmund

Borussia Dortmund continued their reputation for investing in elite young talent by signing Konstantinos Karetsas from Genk. The 18-year-old Greece international signed until 2031 after already accumulating more than 70 top-flight appearances before arriving in Germany.

Dortmund have also added Joane Gadou, Justin Lerma and Kauã Prates, making youth a clear feature of their summer rebuild.

Facundo Medina — Bayer Leverkusen

Bayer Leverkusen reinforced their defence with Facundo Medina, who arrived from Olympique de Marseille. The Argentina international signed until 2031 and can operate both as a centre-back and on the left side of defence.

Leverkusen also brought in Spanish left-back Miguel Gutiérrez from Napoli and Portuguese winger Afonso Moreira from Lyon, adding options to a squad that lost Alejandro Grimaldo and Piero Hincapié.

Experience Returns to Germany

Two of the summer's most recognizable moves involve German internationals.

Newly promoted Schalke signed Robin Gosens on an initial loan from Fiorentina, with provisions that could make the transfer permanent. The 32-year-old returns to the Bundesliga with extensive Serie A and Champions League experience.

Werder Bremen, meanwhile, brought Niclas Füllkrug back to the club. The 33-year-old striker joined on a season-long loan from West Ham United, three years after leaving Bremen.

Other confirmed moves worth watching include Patson Daka joining Hamburg from Leicester City and 20-year-old Slovakia international Leo Sauer moving from Feyenoord to VfB Stuttgart on a contract until 2031.

With more business possible before the deadline, the picture can still change. For now, however, Germany's leading clubs have already added an intriguing combination of proven internationals, returning Bundesliga names and high-upside young talent.
