Kane Ready to Return for Bayern
Harry Kane, who had been sidelined with Bayern Munich, appears to be fully recovered and could see action in the match against Bayer Leverkusen. This was confirmed by coach Vincent Kompany, although he clarified that the final decision will depend on one clear factor.
The Belgian manager explained that if Kane feels fit to play, he will be on the field. The captain of the English national team has trained normally throughout the week, and everything indicates he is in top condition to return to competition.
The striker’s absence has not weighed heavily on the team. In the two matches in which the “Hurrikane” was unavailable, Bayern scored ten goals, showing that their offensive power remains one of their main strengths. Even so, Kane’s return adds another threat for opponents, especially in a team comfortably leading the Bundesliga and with a strong position in the Champions League.
Recent Injuries and the Bavarian Squad
However, not all news is positive for the Bavarians. In the Champions League match where they defeated Atalanta 6-1, Bayern suffered three key absences: Alphonso Davies —the most concerning due to his injury history—, Jamal Musiala, and Jonas Urbig.
The good news is that none of these injuries appear to be long-term. The bad news is that they will likely miss the upcoming match against Liverpool and possibly the next European fixture as well.
Additionally, Manuel Neuer remains injured, forcing the team to rely on players who had not played much this season. All signs point to Sven Ulreich starting as goalkeeper against Leverkusen, marking his first start of the campaign.
Despite these absences, Bayern remains in a comfortable position in both the Bundesliga and Europe. Kane’s return further strengthens an already formidable attack.
Moreover, the injuries suffered against Atalanta do not appear serious, and in the coming weeks, important returns could occur, such as Neuer and Hiroki Ito, which would complete an already powerful squad under the leadership of Vincent Kompany.
