Dortmund director Ricken denies Fenerbahce bid for Guirassy
Fenerbahce have been credited with an interest in Serhou Guirassy, but Borussia Dortmund say the 30-year-old is not going anywhere.
Borussia Dortmund's managing director, Lars Ricken, has rubbished reports that Fenerbahce have entered negotiations over a move for striker Serhou Guirassy.
Having arrived from Stuttgart in July 2024, Guirassy has established himself as a key part of Dortmund's team, plundering 38 goals in 56 Bundesliga appearances for the club.
In all competitions, the Guinea international has netted 60 times in 84 outings for BVB, with 17 of those efforts coming in 24 Champions League games.
Since Guirassy arrived at Signal Iduna Park, the only players to outscore him in the Champions League are Harry Kane (25) and Kylian Mbappe (22), with Julian Alvarez matching his return.
However, the striker had been linked with an exit after Fenerbahce presidential candidate Aziz Yildirim outlined his desire to sign him if he is elected.
His rival, Hakan Safi, had also hinted talks were ongoing regarding Guirassy, while both candidates have touted Marseille's Mason Greenwood as another prospective target.
However, speaking to German outlet WAZ on Monday, Ricken insisted Guirassy was not going anywhere.
"We have had no offer for Serhou. We also have no intention of letting him go," he said.
"He has impressively proven his value for Borussia Dortmund over the past two seasons."
Guirassy has been the second-most prolific player in the Bundesliga over the last three seasons, having also netted 28 times for Stuttgart in his final campaign before joining BVB.
Only Kane (98) has bettered his 66 goals in the competition since the start of 2023-24.
