Leon Goretzka is immensely proud to have been part of the Bayern Munich family, as he bade farewell to the club.

Goretzka played his final Bundesliga game for Bayern on Saturday and provided an assist as Vincent Kompany's team hammered Koln 5-1.

The midfielder has made 311 appearances for Bayern since joining them from Schalke in 2018, scoring 51 goals, providing 44 assists and winning 16 trophies.

He was subbed off in the 83rd minute against Koln to receive his adulation from the home fans at the Allianz Arena.

"The special moment for me was when I stood at the South Stand, spoke to the fans, and they gave me something extra," Goretzka said.

"That simply showed me that I was and am part of the family here. I'm simply proud of that."

Harry Kane scored a hat-trick to take his tally of Bundesliga goals for the season to 36, while Tom Bischof was also on target before Nicolas Jackson, who will be returning to Chelsea at the end of his loan deal, got in on the act just after replacing Goretzka from the bench.

"It was a fantastic way to end the Bundesliga season," said Kane.

"Another really good game from us with lots of goals. Now we just have to enjoy the celebrations, because the season is long and tough. Finishing like this is obviously the perfect way to do it. A lot of things have come together for us.

"That's exactly what makes us a team. We always want to play forward, press high, win the ball back quickly, and score as many goals as possible.

"That comes from our mentality and the way we train. No matter who we're playing against or what the situation is – we always want to perform the same way, and we showed that again."

 Bayern's season is not over, with the DFB-Pokal final against Stuttgart coming up next week.
