Bayern Responds to Barça’s Interest: The Meeting With Kane That Could Block a Summer Move
Barcelona have made Harry Kane a summer priority, but Bayern aren’t sitting still — and their next move sends a very clear message.
Bayern’s Immediate Response to Barcelona’s Interest
Barcelona’s search for a new No. 9 has put Harry Kane unexpectedly on their radar. With Robert Lewandowski heading into what could be his final season at the club, the Catalans are preparing the ground for a future without him — and Kane’s name has surged inside the sporting department.
But in Munich, alarms are not ringing. Max Eberl, Bayern’s sporting director, moved quickly to cool the speculation and confirm that the German champions already have a decisive appointment scheduled with their star striker.
A January Summit to Secure the Future
According to several German outlets, Eberl revealed that Bayern will sit down with Kane in January 2026 to discuss his future — a meeting that was planned long before Barça’s sudden approach.
“We will meet with Kane in January as agreed,” Eberl reportedly said to Sport Bild. “He is comfortable here, and I am not worried about losing him.”
Inside Bayern, the message is straightforward: Kane remains central to their project, and the club expects to extend his stay well beyond 2027.

Kane’s Form Strengthens Bayern’s Position
The English striker has been in spectacular form since the start of the campaign, and Eberl didn’t hesitate to place him among the top candidates for the 2026 Ballon d’Or.
“It’s incredible what he’s doing,” he said. “He should be at least among the top three.”
Kane himself has downplayed interest from other clubs, hinting that he feels valued in Germany and focused on Bayern’s long-term ambitions.
A Summer Battle Brewing?
Barcelona’s admiration for Kane is real, but Bayern’s reaction makes one thing clear: any attempt to sign him will require a financial and strategic effort far beyond the ordinary.
With the German giants preparing their renewal offensive, the window for Barça narrows — and the summer ahead promises to test just how far the Catalan club is willing to go for its next star striker.
