Bayern Munich Shuts the Door on Real Madrid for Michael Olise
Real Madrid has received one of its first major setbacks of the summer transfer window. One of the club's top targets, Michael Olise, will not be leaving Bayern Munich this summer. That was the message delivered by Christian Falk, Head of Football at BILD, who stated that the Bavarian club's position is unequivocal.
According to Falk, there is no scenario in which the French international leaves Munich during the current transfer window.
"There is no chance the player will leave in this transfer window. Bayern has made that very clear to the player."
The news is a significant blow for Real Madrid, which had been closely monitoring Olise's development and viewed him as one of the most exciting long-term additions to strengthen its attack.
A Gentlemen's Agreement Between Two European Giants
Beyond Bayern Munich's firm stance, the main reason the transfer is off the table lies in the excellent relationship between the two clubs.
According to Christian Falk, both Real Madrid and Bayern Munich have agreed not to open negotiations regarding Olise during this summer's transfer window.
"I want to emphasize once again that both clubs have a very close relationship. They have agreed that nothing will happen regarding Olise this summer. If anything were to happen in the future, Florentino Pérez has already promised Herbert Hainer that he will call him first before taking any steps involving the player and his representatives."
The agreement highlights the mutual respect between two of European football's biggest institutions, whose strong relationship has helped avoid transfer disputes and maintain open communication over the years.
Olise Is Untouchable Under Kompany
The decision also reflects the importance Michael Olise has gained within Bayern Munich's sporting project.
Since arriving in Bavaria, the French winger has established himself as one of the team's most dangerous attacking weapons under Vincent Kompany. His ability to beat defenders, operate between the lines, and create numerical superiority in one-on-one situations makes him an almost irreplaceable player.
In addition to his dribbling ability, Olise offers outstanding vision and creativity in the final third. Comfortable playing on either wing, as a central attacking midfielder, or even in a more advanced midfield role, he fits perfectly into Kompany's high-pressing, fluid attacking system.
The World Cup Has Only Increased His Value
The 2026 FIFA World Cup has only strengthened Olise's reputation.
Playing for France, he has been one of the tournament's most influential attacking players. His chemistry with Kylian Mbappé, Ousmane Dembélé, and Bradley Barcola has helped turn Les Bleus into one of the most feared offensive units in the competition.
His ability to break defensive lines with the ball at his feet, create scoring opportunities, and deliver in decisive moments has confirmed that he is enjoying the finest form of his career. That is precisely why Bayern Munich has no intention of letting him leave under any circumstances.
For now, the message from Munich is crystal clear: Michael Olise is not for sale. Real Madrid will have to look elsewhere in the transfer market, while the German champions remain committed to building their future around one of the brightest stars in European football.
