Bayern Munich Assert Total Dominance and Prove They’re Far More Than Just Winter Champions in the Bundesliga
The numbers are overwhelming, the rivals keep falling, and the message is clear: in Germany, one team is playing a different game.
Bayern, Leaders From Start to Finish
Bayern Munich are not just the Bundesliga’s winter champions — they are the team setting the standard in German football without opposition. Thirteen wins and two draws in 15 matches, 41 points from a possible 45, and 55 goals scored paint the picture of a side operating at a level no one else has reached.
Top of the table since Matchday 1, unbeaten and fully in control, Bayern look every bit like the league’s undisputed title favorites.
A Clinical Win to Seal Control
On Sunday in Heidenheim, Bayern ensured they would remain top beyond the end of the first half of the season, with two rounds still to play before the midway point. The advantage is already significant: nine points clear of Borussia Dortmund, their closest challengers.
The win was swift and efficient. Josip Stanišić and Michael Olise struck within the opening 32 minutes, putting Bayern firmly in control. Late goals from Luis Díaz and Harry Kane completed a commanding 4–0 victory, Bayern’s 13th win of the campaign.
Kane, Olise and Díaz Drive the Machine
Bayern have dropped just four points all season, drawing 2–2 away at Union Berlin and 2–2 at home against Mainz. Their attacking output is relentless: 55 goals, an average of 3.6 per game.
Harry Kane leads the way with 19 goals, and alongside Olise, is one of only two players to feature in all 15 matches. The French winger has been outstanding, contributing seven goals and nine assists, making him Bayern’s most productive creator so far. Luis Díaz, in his first Bundesliga season and first year at Bayern, has added eight goals and six assists.
All three are also the most-used players in Bayern’s Bundesliga campaign, underlining their importance to the team’s structure.
Rivals Overpowered, The Gap Widens
With 13 different goalscorers, Bayern’s dominance extends beyond individual brilliance. They have beaten every major rival convincingly: 6–0 against Leipzig on opening day, wins over Borussia Dortmund (2–1), Eintracht Frankfurt (3–0 away), Bayer Leverkusen (3–0) and a crushing 5–0 victory over Stuttgart.
In the standings, Borussia Dortmund sit nine points back, while Bayer Leverkusen are third, twelve points behind, after their 3–1 win over Leipzig, who have now dropped to fourth following consecutive defeats.
At this stage of the season, the verdict feels unavoidable: Bayern Munich are the leaders of leaders, not only in Germany but across Europe — and no one has yet found a way to stop them.
