Will Benzema Stay in Saudi Arabia?
The French striker, formerly Real Madrid, could change teams soon.
Al Ittihad's offer
Benzema may be considering a future away from Al Ittihad; he has offers from Europe, and it seems the player isn’t happy with his stay in Saudi Arabia.
According to L’Équipe, the Arab club has offered him the chance to stay at Al-Ittihad; the only thing he doesn’t find suitable is that it would be on the same terms, given the striker’s performance this season for Al-Ittihad, scoring 16 goals in 21 league and cup matches.
Contact with Europe
The Frenchman said he was contacted last year by European clubs offering him the chance to return to play on the Old Continent. If the renewal offer for the former Real Madrid player isn’t changed, we could see Karim Benzema return to European football.
Benzema's statistics
The Ballon d’Or winner has scored 503 goals in 967 club matches and 37 goals in 97 appearances for France. Emerging as one of the greatest goalscorers in history, he has entered the top 20 and is Real Madrid’s second-highest scorer, behind only Cristiano Ronaldo, who is also playing in the Saudi Pro League. The latter two will compete for the league’s top scorer title if they stay, a title Cristiano Ronaldo won last year with 25 goals in a season.
