The 2030 World Cup Final Would Be Played in Spain
The president of the RFEF spoke about the possible city to host the 2030 World Cup final.
Will the World Cup final played in Spain?
The president of the Spanish Football Federation assured and confirmed where the 2030 World Cup final will be played. Although FIFA hasn’t announced it yet, the head of the RFEF (Royal Spanish Football Federation) jumped the gun and informed the world that the World Cup final will be held in Spain.
The organization of the 2030 World Cup was awarded by FIFA to three countries, similar to the upcoming World Cup this summer: Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, who will co-host the event across their territories.
Statements from the president
Rafael Louzán, the president of the Spanish Football Federation, assured that the final of that World Cup would be played in Spain, no matter what.
"Spain has demonstrated organizational capacity over many years; it will lead the 2030 World Cup, and the final of that World Cup will be held here," Louzán declared as he took the stage to accept one of the awards from the Madrid Sports Press Association.
The head of state referred to the organizational problems seen during the Africa Cup of Nations held in Morocco: Morocco is really undergoing a transformation in every sense, with magnificent stadiums. We have to acknowledge what has been done well. In the Africa Cup of Nations, we have seen scenes that damage the image of world football.
"The best world cup throughout history"
In addition, he confirmed that the RFEF intends to organize "the best World Cup in history": It will be the centennial edition, because it will mark 100 years since that World Cup held in Uruguay. We have to rise to the occasion. We are working to ensure that Spain hosts the best World Cup in history in 2030.
