José Mourinho Tries to Lure Three Real Madrid Players to Turkey to Join Fenerbahçe
José Mourinho wants to strengthen Fenerbahçe with three Real Madrid players: Rodrygo, Brahim, and Alaba are on his radar for Turkey.
Mourinho wants to bring Real Madrid talent to Turkey
José Mourinho wastes no time. Following his arrival at Fenerbahçe, the Portuguese coach wants to make a statement in the transfer market and has set his sights on three Real Madrid players: Rodrygo Goes, David Alaba, and Brahim Díaz. His ambition is clear: to bring elite quality to Turkish football and compete strongly both in the local league and in Europe.
The former Real Madrid coach uses his connections
Mourinho, who managed Real Madrid between 2010 and 2013, is leveraging his connection with the club to convince his former acquaintances to swap the Santiago Bernabéu for Istanbul. According to reports from Turkey and Spain, the Portuguese coach has personally requested Brahim Díaz as a priority signing.
However, the chances are slim: the Moroccan is reportedly close to renewing his contract with Real Madrid after a good season, although he is expected to play a less prominent role next season.
Rodrygo and Alaba: impossible transfers?
Rodrygo Goes is undoubtedly the most ambitious name on the list. The Brazilian, sought after by big clubs such as Liverpool and Arsenal, would be unlikely to consider a move to Turkey, but Fenerbahçe has the financial muscle to try.
David Alaba also appears to be an option, although the club has already strengthened its defense, which could make his signing less of a priority.
With the arrival of young talents such as Franco Mastantuono and Álvaro Carreras, Madrid now has 25 players on its roster. According to regulations, it will have to let some go. Mourinho wants to take advantage of this opportunity to bring in big names to Fenerbahce before the transfer window closes.
