How to Watch: The Asian FIFA World Cup Qualifying Playoffs in Arabic
The United Arab Emirates and Iraq face off in a double-header to reach the Inter-continental Playoffs.
Eight teams from the Asian Football Federation have already taken their spots at the 2026 FIFA World Cup: Japan, Iran, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Jordan, Australia, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. However, there is room for one more team from the federation. But that national side is going to have work for the privilege of being in North America next summer.
The two countries with the chance of grabbing a final ticket are United Arab Emirates and Iraq. Iraq is looking to reach the World Cup finals for the first time in 40 years while the UAE are hoping to make their debut. But to make this dream come true, the two must defeat each other in a two-legged playoff on Thursday and next Tuesday. The winner will then move through to the Inter-confederation playoffs to face representatives from other federations where two nations will reach the World Cup finals.
Both legs of the UAE and Iraq playoff are available in Arabic on our CONNECT PPV channel.
