Tension remains high inside Real Madrid after reports of an altercation between Aurélien Tchouaméni and Federico Valverde at Valdebebas.
The French midfielder has now posted a message on social media condemning the incident and apologizing, though he never directly mentioned Valverde.
Tchouaméni never mentions Valverde
Just like Valverde’s previous statement, Tchouaméni avoided naming his teammate.
In his message, the Frenchman focused on responsibility and the example players must set.
“What happened this week in training is unacceptable”.
He also added:
“Frustration cannot excuse everything. These incidents are not worthy of Real Madrid”.

A message calling for unity
Tchouaméni also tried to shift the focus toward unity rather than blame.
“Now is not the time to figure out who did what or who was right”.
The midfielder said he apologized to the squad and the fans.
“I apologized to the group, and I also want to apologize to all Madridistas”.
Real Madrid punished both players
Real Madrid confirmed financial sanctions against both Valverde and Tchouaméni after the incident.
According to the club, both players expressed regret and apologized to each other.
