Cristiano Ronaldo Smiles Again After Portugal Turmoil

  • After a few days dominated by controversy with his national team, the Portuguese star returned to work with Al-Nassr with one massive target still in sight.

Cristiano Moves on From a Turbulent Few Days

Cristiano Ronaldo returned to training with Al-Nassr after an especially turbulent international break. The Portuguese star reappeared on Monday smiling and joking with his teammates, a very different image from his final days with Portugal.

The forward had left the national team camp during the Nations League window following the controversy surrounding his situation. Back in Saudi Arabia, Cristiano now appears ready to turn the page and focus once again on his objectives at club level.

Images shared by the player himself showed a much more relaxed atmosphere. Cristiano trained alongside players who also did not travel with their national teams, including Sadio Mané, Kingsley Coman, Íñigo Martínez, Samú Costa and Mohamed Simakan.

The 1,000-Goal Chase Takes Center Stage Again

Beyond all the noise of recent days, one number continues to define the final stage of Cristiano’s career: 1,000 goals.

The Portuguese star currently sits on 979, leaving him just 21 goals away from reaching a milestone that once seemed almost impossible.

Cristiano has already scored three goals this season. He finished last campaign with 30, meaning a similar scoring pace would put the four-figure mark within reach before the end of the season.

Al-Nassr Becomes His Refuge Again

After what happened with Portugal, returning to his daily routine with Al-Nassr also gives Cristiano the chance to shift the conversation back to the field.

His continued spell in Saudi Arabia means that, barring an unexpected change, goal No. 1,000 could come in an Al-Nassr shirt.

For now, the priority will be to regain competitive rhythm after the international break and continue adding to a tally that is moving ever closer to a historic number.

The Next Challenge Already Has a Date

Cristiano is set to return to action on Friday, October 9, when Al-Nassr face Al Diriyah.

The collective objective will be to continue the push to retain the league title, while every match will inevitably carry another personal countdown: how many goals remain before Cristiano reaches 1,000.

After a week dominated by his departure from the Portugal camp, Cristiano is back where he looks most comfortable. Smiling, training and still chasing another 21 goals.
