Barcelona close deal for Hamza Abdelkarim, Egypt’s ‘new Salah’

After several days of negotiations, reports in Spain claim that Barcelona have secured the signing of young Egyptian forward Hamza Abdelkarim, a standout performer with Egypt’s U-17 national team and a player many believe could follow in the footsteps of Mohamed Salah at the elite level of world football.
Details of Barcelona’s deal for Abdelkarim
Spanish outlets such as Mundo Deportivo and Sport report that the agreement between Barcelona and Al Ahly is a loan move with an option to buy, valued between €3 and €5 million, depending on performance-related variables.
Al Ahly will first renew the 18-year-old’s contract before sending him out on loan until the end of the season. Barcelona’s plan is for Abdelkarim to join Barça Atlètic, managed by Juliano Belletti.
