All the goals from United States vs Mexico:
Led by Javier Aguirre, the Mexican team secured the victory with goals from two Premier League stars: Raúl Jiménez, forward for Fulham, and Edson Álvarez, midfielder for West Ham United. The U.S. goal was scored by Chris Richards of Crystal Palace.
In an intense first half, the United States took an early lead with a header from Richards in the 4th minute, assisted by Sebastian Berhalter. However, Mexico responded and began to dominate the game. In the 27th minute, Marcel Ruiz set up Jiménez, who scored with a left-footed finish to equalize.
Jiménez, nicknamed "El Chaquito," dedicated his goal to the late Portuguese player Diogo Jota, who recently passed away in a car accident in Spain, holding up his jersey as a tribute.
Under the guidance of Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino, the United States tried to respond in the final minutes of the first half but lacked offensive clarity.
In the second half, Mexico regained control and sealed the scoreline in the 77th minute with a header from Edson Álvarez, assisted by Johan Vásquez. The Americans pushed for an equalizer in the closing minutes, including a dangerous move by Patrick Agyemang in the 90+2nd minute, which was well-saved by Mexican goalkeeper Luis Ángel Malagón.
With this victory, Mexico claims its 13th Gold Cup title, extending its lead as the tournament’s most successful team in Concacaf history, with six more titles than the United States.
