Lionel Messi’s oldest son turned 13 with a party full of Blaugrana symbolism.
A party painted in Blaugrana
Thiago Messi celebrated his 13th birthday with a theme that instantly brought FC Barcelona nostalgia back to fans around the world. Despite Lionel Messi currently playing for Inter Miami, the connection between the Messi family and the Catalan club remains unmistakable.
Photos shared by Antonela Roccuzzo on Instagram revealed decorations dominated by Barça’s iconic colors. A massive backdrop showcased a stadium in full Blaugrana with the emblematic phrase “Més que un club,” surrounded by balloons and detailed Barcelona-themed ornaments.
Thiago wore the Barcelona third kit from the 2024/25 season, while another shirt from the current campaign appeared in the setup with his name and the number 13, representing his new age.

Even the birthday cake was a tribute to Barça — a detailed recreation of the club’s stadium that quickly caught fans’ attention online. “How beautiful it is to celebrate you, Thiagui. We love you so much,” wrote Antonela in the caption.
Barcelona in the heart, Miami on the pitch
While the celebration paid homage to his unforgettable glory days in Spain, Lionel Messi remains fully focused on his present with Inter Miami, where he recently extended his contract until 2028.

The Argentine star continues performing at a high level in MLS, currently disputing the first round of the playoffs against Nashville. Messi has already scored three goals in two matches in the series, lifting the Florida side as they fight to advance.
The decisive third game will be played at home, a crucial opportunity for Inter Miami to keep dreaming of their first MLS championship.
Thiago Messi’s celebration reignited the emotional bond between the Messi family and Barcelona, a club that shaped his father into one of the greatest of all time. Meanwhile, Lionel Messi continues writing history — wherever he plays — while the Blaugrana legacy lives on in his children.
