Xavi: "We Have a New Opportunity to Secure Second Place"
Barcelona's coach, Xavi Hernández, stated that the Blaugrana approach Monday's league match against Real Sociedad as "a new opportunity" to finish in the second position of La Liga, the "minimum objective" set by the club.
"We depend on ourselves to secure the second place after Girona's draw. Tomorrow we have another big opportunity, against an extraordinary-level opponent," said the Catalan coach on Sunday, considering Real Sociedad's coach, Imanol Alguacil, has been doing "an incredible job" for years.
Xavi described Real Sociedad as a "solid opponent" that is "aggressive in defense" and "creates many opportunities in attack," expecting a "brave approach" from them.
"I don't know what kind of Real Sociedad we'll face tomorrow because they do everything very well: they defend in a low block, but they also press high, win duels, are strong in direct play, and don't allow transitions," he analyzed.
