Mourinho and Fenerbahce Want to Take a Teammate Away From Cristiano Ronaldo
Jhon Durán could be on the verge of a swift return to European football, just months after his high-profile move to Saudi Arabian side Al-Nassr. The Colombian striker has attracted strong interest from Fenerbahce, who are intensifying efforts to secure his services ahead of the upcoming season.

Fenerbahce Joins the Race Alongside Premier League Clubs
The Turkish club is undergoing a major squad overhaul under new manager José Mourinho. According to reports, Fenerbahce sporting director Devin Ozek, formerly of Bayer Leverkusen, is playing a key role in leading the club’s recruitment efforts.
While Fenerbahce appears to be in pole position, Al-Nassr is reportedly open to parting ways with the young striker if a suitable deal is reached. Meanwhile, several Premier League clubs including West Ham, Wolves, and Fulham are also monitoring the 21-year-old closely.
Key Meeting in Colombia and a Concrete Offer on the Table
According to Turkish journalist Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Ozek has traveled to Colombia to meet Durán face-to-face and present the club’s offer. Fenerbahce is looking to sign the striker on a season-long loan, worth $20 million, which would include full coverage of his annual salary.
Durán joined Al-Nassr from Aston Villa in January 2025 in a deal valued at up to $97 million. However, after less than six months in Saudi Arabia, the Colombian is now reportedly considering a move away.
Durán Numbers and What’s Next
Since arriving at Al-Nassr, Jhon Durán has scored 12 goals in 18 appearances across all competitions, demonstrating impressive form. Before that, he registered 12 goals in 55 Premier League matches with Aston Villa.
Durán is expected to make a decision in the coming days. If he accepts Fenerbahce offer, he will reunite with José Mourinho and return to the European stage. In the meantime, Premier League clubs remain on high alert, keeping close tabs on the talented Colombian forward.
