Another European Giant Joins the Race for Viktor Gyökeres
Viktor Gyökeres is officially one of the hottest names on the transfer market. After a staggering season with Sporting CP, in which he scored 54 goals in 52 matches, the Swedish striker is now being closely monitored by several top European clubs. The latest to join the chase? Juventus.
Juventus enter the battle
According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juventus are now seriously considering a move for Gyökeres, whose prolific scoring and physical presence have made him a standout across Europe. While his release clause is set at €100 million, Sporting could reportedly be open to negotiating for a fee around €70 million.
With Dušan Vlahović likely to be sold this summer, the Bianconeri are searching for a new attacking leader. Gyökeres fits the profile of their rebuilding project, especially now that they’ve secured qualification for the 2025–26 UEFA Champions League.
Premier League clubs still in the race
Arsenal are currently viewed as the frontrunners, having already initiated contact with the player’s representatives. Several other Premier League sides are also keeping tabs, but Juventus believe they can compete thanks to their projected income from both the Champions League and the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup.

Plan B: Osimhen also under consideration
Despite prioritizing Gyökeres, Juventus are also reportedly monitoring Victor Osimhen, who will return to Napoli after a loan spell with Galatasaray. If the financial conditions align, the club could attempt to secure both forwards in a blockbuster window.
The summer transfer saga around Viktor Gyökeres is heating up, and with multiple top clubs in the mix, one thing is certain: his next step will be among Europe’s elite.
