Alarm Bells at Bayern! Musiala Injured and Will Miss Germany Matches
Jamal Musiala has been dropped from Julian Nagelsmann’s squad for the upcoming Nations League double-header against Bosnia and the Netherlands, with Stuttgart’s Jamie Leweling stepping in to replace him.
According to the German Football Association (DFB), the Bayern Munich player’s absence is due to “hip problems,” which were communicated just minutes before by Bayern, stating that Musiala “needs to take a break” due to the injury discovered after a “medical examination.”
Musiala had participated in all eight matches for Bayern this season, scoring three goals. However, following this announcement, he will also miss the match against Eintracht Frankfurt on Sunday.
He had played in the recent fixtures against Hungary and the Netherlands during the September international break and was called up for the imminent matches against Bosnia and the Dutch, which he will ultimately miss.
Leweling, also a midfielder, will take his place in the squad, marking his first call-up to the national team after being a key player for Stuttgart, who finished in second place in the Bundesliga last season.
