Lamine Yamal is now enjoying a well deserved vacation after an intense season with FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team. His mother, Sheila Ebana, shared a video on social media showing the young Barça star playing with his younger brother, giving fans a glimpse of his family time.

On his own social media channels, Yamal also posted a series of photos where he appears relaxed and enjoying various activities from indulging in treats outside his usual diet to peaceful walks along the beach. Clearly, it’s time to unwind.
The Barça winger wrapped up the season after competing in the UEFA Nations League, where Spain lost the final to Portugal in a dramatic penalty shootout.
Breakout Season for the Barcelona Wonderkid
The 2024–25 campaign was a breakout year for Lamine Yamal. The Rocafonda native played 55 official matches for the Catalan club, scoring 18 goals and providing 25 assists. His stellar performances were instrumental in helping Barça win both La Liga and the Copa del Rey.
As the Ballon d’Or debate heats up with his name and that of former Barça player Ousmane Dembélé among the top contenders Yamal shared a cryptic message on social media that stirred discussion.

A Subtle Message to His Detractors
“They complain about the bad one and abuse the good one,” wrote the 17-year old forward a statement many interpreted as a shot at his critics. When Yamal kept silent, he was labeled distant; now that he expressing himself, he’s being called arrogant.

Ready to Return
Lamine Yamal is expected to report back for preseason training around July 12–13. He will return to the Ciutat Esportiva Joan Gamper to undergo medical tests and begin working under new head coach Hansi Flick.
For now, the young star is focused on enjoying his time off with family, recharging for the major challenges that await with both FC Barcelona and the Spanish national team.
