The battle for African futsal supremacy is heating up! Four nations remain in contention as Futsal AFCON 2026 enters its decisive stage, with continental glory now within reach.
The four Futsal AFCON 2026 semifinalists have been confirmed. Angola, Algeria, Morocco and Egypt will battle for the two spots in the continental championship match.
With the group stage complete, the semifinal pairings have been determined by the final standings in Groups A and B.
The semifinals will take place on October 19, with the following kickoff times in U.S. Eastern Time (ET):
- 12:00 PM ET: Angola vs. Algeria.
- 3:00 PM ET: Morocco vs. Egypt.
The winners will advance to the final, while the losing semifinalists will compete in the third-place playoff.
Angola stun Egypt to finish Group B with a perfect record
Angola wrapped up the group stage with a 4-2 victory over Egypt, securing first place in Group B with nine points from three wins.
Egypt, meanwhile, finished second with six points after suffering their first defeat of the tournament.
The Pharaohs had previously impressed with their attacking firepower and defensive solidity, scoring 12 goals without conceding in their opening two matches, including a 4-0 win over Mozambique.
However, Angola ended Egypt's clean-sheet streak and handed the Pharaohs their first loss of the competition.
Morocco carry momentum into the semifinals
Tournament hosts Morocco wrapped up their group-stage campaign with a commanding 6-0 victory over Libya, having already secured their place in the knockout stage.
The Atlas Lions finished top of Group A, setting up a semifinal showdown with Egypt.
Algeria, who finished second in Group A, will face Angola with a place in the championship match on the line.
When are the Futsal AFCON 2026 final and third-place match?
Both the Futsal AFCON 2026 final and the third-place playoff will take place on October 21.
The two fixtures will determine the tournament champion and the remaining podium positions.
