The Africa Cup of Nations comes to an end this Sunday as Senegal, led by Sadio Mané, face host nation Morocco, inspired by Brahim Díaz, in a final that promises excitement from start to finish.

How Senegal and Morocco reached the Final

The Atlas Lions topped Group A with seven points and an unbeaten record.

Walid Regragui’s side earned their place in the final after defeating Tanzania in the Round of 16, Cameroon in the Quarterfinals, and Nigeria in the Semifinals, where the match was decided on penalties.

Meanwhile, the Lions of Teranga finished Group D at the top, also with seven points.

Coached by Pape Thiaw, Senegal eliminated Sudan in the Round of 16, overcame Mali in the Quarterfinals, and produced a major upset by knocking out Mohamed Salah’s Egypt in the Semifinals.

This will be the first time Senegal and Morocco meet in an AFCON Final, although it will be their 32nd overall encounter.
