Live! Gabon vs. Mozambique in AFCON 2025 on beIN SPORTS
Gabon and Mozambique head into a must-win clash in Group F of the Africa Cup of Nations.
Despite 90 minutes of toil and graft, Gabon came away with nothing to show for it against the Indomitable Lions and were unable to respond to what was the eventual winner from Cameroon’s Etta Eyong after just six minutes.
All the excitement of AFCON 2025 exclusively on beIN Sports, starting December 21.
However, there was a positive moment for Gabon that bodes well for Sunday’s crucial AFCON clash against Mozambique, live on beIN SPORTS. After starting the tournament as a major fitness doubt, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, came off the bench after 33 minutes and could well be available to start the massive match against Mozambique.
Sunday’s game is a veritable must-win affair considering the final game for Gabon in this most unforgiving of groups is against the Ivory Coast. The cushion of three points against Mozambique and a draw against The Elephants should be enough to put Gabon into the knockout stages.
Mozambique was also put through the mill in the team’s own opening day Group F match and was defeated 1-0 by the defending champions. Nevertheless, that narrow scoreline is a warning for Gabon that the supposed weakest side in AFCON’s Group of Death cannot be underestimated, although Mozambique is still chasing its first ever victory in the AFCON finals, after 16 attempts.
