How and Where to Watch: Ivory Coast vs. Cameroon
Manchester United’s main men meet in massive AFCON clash between Ivory Coast and Cameroon
The last match of the second round of matches at the 2025 AFCON ends with an absolute monster of a clash between two football powerhouses: Ivory Coast and Cameroon, and Sunday’s game is live on beIN SPORTS.
All the excitement of AFCON 2025 exclusively on beIN Sports, starting December 21
Both teams picked up wins in their opening AFCON 2025 games but were made to suffer while grinding out 1-0 victories. Ivory Coast and Cameroon also looked to their respective Manchester United stars for inspiration. Amad Diallo scored the only goal in Ivory Coast’s victory over Mozambique, while his midfield partner at Old Trafford, Bryan Mbeumo, was the man of the match in a 1-0 win against Gabon. The Cameroonian created six chances and provided the assist for Etta Eyong’s winner.
Remarkably, Ivory Coast and Cameroon have not met in the AFCON finals since 2015, when it was The Elephants that came away with a 1-0 win in the group stages. However, there is a bad omen to counter that, in that Ivory Coast has not won its second group game at AFCON in the past five tournaments.
Cameroon will be relieved to have picked up an opening day win after chaotic preparations for AFCON 2025. Mbeumo himself says that “there’s still a lot of work to do to secure qualification, but I think we’re ready.” That challenge continues Sunday in Agadir and the Manchester United man feels the same way as everyone else: “we’re impatient to play that match.”
