However, two minutes later, and with a stroke of luck, Cameroon leveled the score at 2-2 in the 87th minute with an own goal by James Gomez, setting the stage for an exciting finish.

Nevertheless, Cameroon did not give up and scored the decisive goal at 3-2 in the 91st minute with a miraculous header by Christopher Wooh, who celebrated fervently for the miraculous victory of the Cameroonian team.

With this result, Cameroon qualifies for the Round of 16 as the second-placed team in Group C; on the other hand, Gambia bids farewell to AFCON 2023 with a commendable performance in the final match.
