Morocco Unveils a Squad Packed With Talent

  • Morocco unveiled a star-studded squad for its upcoming international matches in September.

The Morocco national team returns to action following its World Cup campaign and is already beginning to focus on its next major objective: the Africa Cup of Nations. For the September international window, head coach Mohamed Ouahbi unveiled a squad that combines established stars with several highly promising young players.


The Atlas Lions will face Gabon and Lesotho in the qualifiers and will look to use this international window to continue building a competitive squad ahead of their upcoming challenges.

Hakimi, Aguerd and Bounou Headline the Squad

Experience will be present in virtually every area of the field. In goal, Yassine Bounou stands out alongside Munir El Kajoui, Ahmed Reda Tagnaouti and Alaa Bellaarouch.



The defense also features several notable names. Achraf Hakimi and Noussair Mazraoui are among those called up, alongside Nayef Aguerd, Issa Diop, Zakaria El Ouahdi, Abdelhamid Aït Boudlal, Anass Salah-Eddine, Marwane Saadane, Redouane Halhal and Ali Maamar.

The variety of options will give Mohamed Ouahbi several alternatives when putting together his defensive line for the upcoming matches.
