Five countries have now officially qualified for the 2026 FIFA World Cup from the Asian Football Federation. One of those nations is Jordan, which made history by reaching the finals for the first time. However, the World Cup qualifying dream is not over for a number of countries. Those teams finishing third or fourth in their respective groups – six nations in all – will have a final chance of qualifying in October to claim one of the last two spots remaining.

Quite remarkably, one of those teams is Palestine, who compete in the Asian federation. They have a make-or-break match on neutral territory in Jordan, on Tuesday, against Oman. If Palestine defeat Oman who occupy fourth in their group, then fifth-placed Palestine’s incredible World Cup dream is alive.
