Cristiano Ronaldo and Al-Nassr suffered a tough setback in the Asian Champions League after being knocked out in the quarterfinals by Al-Ain in a match that required extra time and penalties to be resolved.

The Portuguese, who was in the spotlight after scoring a penalty in the 118th minute of extra time that forced the penalty shootout and missing a clear goal, addressed some words to the fans of the Saudi club after the painful elimination.

"Thank you for your support. We'll find a way to bounce back and come back stronger. Together, always," wrote the Portuguese on his social media along with a photo of the whole team united.

The next challenge for Al-Nassr and Cristiano will be in the Saudi Pro League, where they face Al-Ahli on Friday, March 15, their immediate pursuer in the standings.
