The agreement takes advantage of the proximity between the new Madrid circuit and Real Madrid City, with only around 200 meters separating the two in the northern section of the track.

The Spanish Grand Prix will take place from September 11-13, marking Formula 1's return to the Spanish capital 45 years after its last appearance.

What will Real Madrid do at the Spanish Grand Prix?

The agreement does not mean Real Madrid will compete in Formula 1. The club will participate as a Local Event Supporter of the Grand Prix.

Due to Real Madrid City's proximity to the circuit, organizers will incorporate some of the club's facilities into the event's operations during race weekend.

Real Madrid will also have a presence in different Madring hospitality areas, with club legends and other prominent figures expected to participate.

“The incorporation of Real Madrid as a Local Event Supporter brings to the Grand Prix the only soccer club with 15 European Cups, a leader in brand value, social media followers and valuation, a symbol of the city of Madrid, and connects two sports with millions of fans around the world,” organizers said.

Madring: Formula 1's new circuit in Madrid

The race will take place on the new hybrid Madring circuit, featuring a layout of approximately 5.4 kilometers and 22 corners.

The track runs through IFEMA and Valdebebas, as well as a section of public roads.

One of its signature features will be the 'Monumental', a corner with 24% banking designed to become one of the circuit's most recognizable sections.

Real Madrid will therefore play a role in Formula 1's return to Madrid, but not as a competitor: the club will serve as a local event sponsor while providing facilities and an institutional presence during the Spanish Grand Prix.
