Yodlekpet Vows To Finally Close The Book On His Rivalry With Pompet At ONE Friday Fights 170

A rivalry built on razor-thin margins finally reaches its breaking point. This Friday, September 11, four-time Muay Thai World Champion Yodlekpet "The Destroyer" Or Atchariya steps in for the third and deciding chapter against Pompet Pongsuphan PK, which serves as the main event of ONE Friday Fights 170 at Bangkok's Lumpinee Stadium.

Two split decisions have failed to settle anything between them, and Yodlekpet wants this trilogy bout to leave no doubt about who the better man truly is.

A Rivalry Built On Razor-Thin Margins

When Yodlekpet first battled Pompet in August 2025, he walked away with a nail-bitingly close split decision that left fans and critics wanting more.

That demand for a rematch came quickly, but the sequel just weeks later flipped the script entirely, with Yodlekpet falling on the wrong end of another split verdict.

Rather than point to any external factor, “The Destroyer” places the blame squarely on himself.

"In the last fight, I paused and let my volume drop toward the end," Yodlekpet confessed. "I took my foot off the gas in round two. If I hadn't stopped throwing combinations, I believe I would have taken that second fight."

A New Training Environment Sparks Real Growth

Since that setback, Yodlekpet has made a notable shift in his preparation.

While he remains a proud representative of the respected Sor Sommai team, he's spent the bulk of his recent camp training at Silk Muay Thai in Pattaya, and the results have been immediately noticeable.

"Since training at Silk Muay Thai, my strikes are much faster. I've also learned not to just absorb damage on defense, but to slip and counter. My overall game has leveled up in a lot of ways," Yodlekpet explained.

That evolution has translated directly into results, as Yodlekpet has strung together three consecutive victories over Anar Mammadov, Gingsanglek Wor Kumchamnarn, and Saw Min Min since training at Silk Muay Thai.

"After stringing together some good wins, my confidence is sky-high," he added. "It really boosted my morale."

Yodlekpet Respects An Evolved Version Of Pompet

Pompet has been equally hot, riding back-to-back TKO victories, including a statement finish of former top-five flyweight contender Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi.

Yodlekpet isn't taking that improvement lightly, and he understands he's facing a considerably different version of the fighter he first encountered years ago.

"He's improved tremendously. He's much stronger than before and brings a wider variety of weapons to the ring," the Thai said. "He's a completely different fighter compared to when he first started in ONE."

But so is “The Destroyer,” and he believes the key to success will be through his punches and elbows. And if the right opening presents itself, he will have no hesitation in going for the knockout and putting a decisive end to this feud.

"I'm going to give it everything I've got, same as always," Yodlekpet continued. "No backing down."
