Two Knockout Statements Steal The Show At ONE Friday Fights 175

  • A shocking upset and a ruthless finishing clinic headlined ONE Friday Fights 175 on Friday, October 16. It was a night of memorable stoppages at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, and the main and co-main event perfectly captured the action in a snapshot.

The Underdog Gets His Hand Raised In Dramatic Fashion

Nobody gave Abdessamie Rhenimi much of a chance heading into his flyweight Muay Thai clash.

The 20-year-old Moroccan was on a two-bout losing streak and had to deal with the far more experienced Lamsing T1 Fight Academy in the main event, but he shocked everyone with a knockout performance.

Rhenimi pressed the action immediately, rattling the 30-year-old with jab-cross combinations and uppercuts in the opening frame. But soon, the Thai veteran dug in, and he survived behind his clinch work and durability.

Lamsing briefly turned the tide with sharp boxing in round two, but fatigue began creeping in as Rhenimi continued landing shots to the body.

By the third, exhaustion had set in for both men, yet it was the young Moroccan who summoned one final surge. He uncorked a combination that ended with a looping uppercut, which dropped Lamsing to the canvas.

The result snapped the Thai’s three-bout winning streak and handed Rhenimi the much-needed signature win he had been waiting for.

Mahesuan Turns A Close Fight Into A Dominant Showing

In the co-main event, Mahesuan Aekmuangnon needed just one round to flip the script entirely against Bakjo Sitkhunma.

The opening frame was a measured affair, with both men trading kicks and jabs from range in an atomweight Muay Thai contest that initially looked destined for the scorecards.

That changed almost instantly in round two. Mahesuan cornered his 21-year-old Thai compatriot and dropped him with a crisp combination.

Bakjo returned to his feet, but the 26-year-old refused to let up, as he hunted the body with surgical precision. Two more knockdowns left the referee with no choice but to intervene and wave off the action.

The dominant finish marked Mahesuan’s third straight stoppage victory and pushed his record to 82-21, keeping his pursuit of a six-figure ONE Championship contract firmly alive.
