An Unbeaten Run And A Life-Changing Bonus

At 28 years old, Petninmungkorn has built impressive momentum, winning six consecutive bouts in ONE Championship.

His latest statement came in January, when he earned a performance bonus after knocking out Toyota Eaglemuaythai in the third round.

In the months that followed, however, life outside the ring took priority. While recovering from a hand injury, the Thai striker also celebrated one of the biggest moments of his life.

"Right after that fight, I went back home to Surin to get married, and I've been spending time taking care of my family," Petninmungkorn said.

Petninmungkorn Eyes Another Tough Test At ONE Friday Fights 165

Now fully recovered and focused once again, Petninmungkorn returns to face another rising contender in Pet Suanluangrodyok, a 19-year-old prospect who owns 53 career victories and arrives on a three-fight winning streak.

That run includes a split-decision victory in June over fellow teenage standout Yonis Anane, the younger brother of former ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane.

Petninmungkorn has carefully studied his opponent and knows exactly what he'll have to deal with inside the ring.

"His main strength is just sheer physical power, along with his leg kicks and punches," Petninmungkorn said.

"The most dangerous thing would probably be his kicks, based on his recent fights. It's that head kick. He doesn't throw it often, which is why people get caught off guard and fail to block it."

A Huge Opportunity Is On The Line

With both fighters entering Friday in outstanding form, Petninmungkorn understands the magnitude of the opportunity before him.

"Both of us are on great runs, so if I deliver a big performance, the opportunity is definitely right there," he said.
