ONE Friday Fights 159 Results: Gonzalez Delivers Two Knockouts In Two Weeks, Dotsenko Bounces Back
The event brought a monumental week of combat sports action to a close at Bangkok's legendary Lumpinee Stadium.
ONE Friday Fights 159 closed out a massive week of action at Bangkok's iconic Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, June 19. Xavier Gonzalez made good on every word in the main event by earning his second knockout victory in two weeks.
Plus, in the co-main event, Denis Dotsenko turned patience into a second-round knockout over Petgarfield Jitmuangnon with a pair of perfectly timed counter right hands that put an exclamation point on his night.
GONZALEZ DOES IT AGAIN
When the storylines were written heading into this fight, the question was whether Xavier Gonzalez could pull off two wins in two weeks. The Spaniard answered that question emphatically, as he finished the returning Chatanan Sor Jor Joyprajin at the 1:37 mark of the second frame.

Once the opening bell rang, Gonzalez pressed the Thai toward the ropes, loading up on his lead leg with every swing and head-hunting with his signature left hook. Chatanan read Gonzalez like his favorite book and punished the thigh with low kicks throughout the first round, making it appear unlikely that the Spaniard could see his storybook ending.
The Thai came out sharper in round two, holding a solid guard and boxing cleanly behind his defense. But Gonzalez was already one step ahead, as he came over the top with a right hand that sent Chatanan crashing to the canvas.
Chatanan answered the referee’s eight-count, but he wouldn’t stay on his feet for too long. Gonzalez walked him into a corner and unloaded an array of shovel hooks to the head and body until the referee stepped in to wave off the action.
Just like that, the Spaniard gets his second knockout in a two-week span. And now, with 27 career wins, the whispers for a life-changing contract are getting louder and louder.

DOTSENKO'S PATIENCE PAYS OFF
Denis Dotsenko did not need to force anything against Petgarfield Jitmuangnon. He just needed to wait. And when the moment came, he did not miss it.
Petgarfield came in aggressive, throwing hard combinations from the opening bell. But his guard kept dropping, and Dotsenko clipped him with a short counter-right hand that crumpled him for an eight-count. The Thai answered the count and survived the rest of the first stanza. However, when the bell rang to begin round two, he was pressing forward yet again.

SAME RESULT, SAME WEAPON
When Petgarfield’s guard dropped once more in a wild exchange, the Ukrainian landed a crisp right hand that instantly dropped his Thai adversary to the ground. The referee had no choice but to stop the bantamweight Muay Thai contest at 1:09 of the second frame.
With that performance, Dotsenko moves his record to 11-3 and proudly owns back-to-back knockouts in ONE Championship. Most importantly, he marked himself as a fighter to watch.
