ONE Friday Fights 150: Kompet targets redemption and vows to stop Attachai
Kompet Sitsarawatsuer arrived at ONE Friday Fights with a two-time Lumpinee Stadium World Championship pedigree and the talent to match. But the past year and a half has been a grind — losses, a broken winning streak, and a setback that saw his opponent earn the contract Kompet has been chasing.
At ONE Friday Fights 150 on April 10, the 26-year-old has a chance to reset everything — and he is not planning to waste it.
A game plan that slipped away
Kompet’s most recent outing followed a painful script. Facing Lebanese striker Abdallah Ondash in a strawweight Muay Thai bout, the Sitsarawatseur representative entered with a clear strategy: attack the legs, slow his opponent down, and let the damage build.
For a time, it worked.
Then everything changed.
A heavy punch late in the second round disrupted his vision, and by the third, Kompet was no longer fully in control. Ondash capitalized, securing the finish just 25 seconds into the final round, earning a US$100,000 contract and leaving Kompet searching for answers.
"The plan was to chop his legs down until he crumbled because he's not good at blocking," Kompet said.
"Everything was going according to plan early on, but I slipped up and caught a heavy punch late in the second round. It messed up my vision for the final round, and honestly, I got caught and shut down before I even knew what happened."

A rollercoaster run and growing pressure
That loss was not an isolated setback, but part of a challenging stretch.
A five-fight winning streak ended in November 2024, leading to a sequence of wins and losses that has slowed his momentum and distanced him from the contract he once seemed close to securing.
The hunger remains, but so does the pressure — something Kompet openly acknowledges.
"It's been a bit of a rollercoaster lately with the wins and losses, and I'll admit I feel a little pressure. I want to build some real momentum, but those losses made me wobble a bit," Kompet said.
"I used to be laser-focused on a ONE main roster contract, but now I feel like I've drifted quite a bit from that goal. Still, I'm stoked to be back and prove I can handle the small gloves. A lot of people think this style isn't for me, but I'm here to show them they're wrong."
Kompet vs Attachai: experience vs momentum
Standing across from Kompet is Attachai Kelasport, a 23-year-old southpaw from Boxing Army 3 in Phayao. With a 56-13 record and an 82 percent win rate, he brings confidence and momentum into this matchup.
Attachai’s sharp left hand and technical style make him a real threat. He returns to ONE Friday Fights after a strong debut win over Pole Adsanpatong by unanimous decision in June 2024.
Kompet recognizes the challenge — but not the pressure.
"He's young and fresh with a sharp left hand, but I've been through much tougher wars and have way more experience," Kompet said.
"I know people see him as the rising star, but I'm not going to be his stepping stone. I'm here to stop his momentum."
