ONE Friday Fights 134 Results: Yodlekpet Returns To Winning Ways, Ramazanov Suffers Leg Injury
It was a night to remember at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, as ONE Friday Fights 134 thrilled fans with a dozen MMA, Muay Thai, and kickboxing matches on November 21. In the main event, four-time Muay Thai World Champion Yodlekpet "The Destroyer" Or Atchariya snapped his alternating win-loss pattern with a dominant unanimous decision victory over rising Azerbaijani star Anar Mammadov. Meanwhile, the featured attraction ended in unfortunate fashion when former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Alaverdi "Babyface Killer" Ramazanov broke his leg just seconds into the contest.
Yodlekpet Overcomes Slow Start To Dominate Mammadov
Yodlekpet "The Destroyer" Or Atchariya delivered the statement performance he promised, overcoming early adversity to outclass Anar Mammadov via unanimous decision in their flyweight Muay Thai main event.
The four-time Muay Thai World Champion faced adversity in the opening round, as he struggled to solve Mammadov's speedy footwork and volume-heavy attack. The Azerbaijani striker set an aggressive pace, battering "The Destroyer" with fierce boxing combinations and leg kicks that seemed to put the Thai veteran on his back foot. However, Yodlekpet remained patient, waiting for the perfect opportunity to unleash the devastating power that has defined his career.
That opportunity arrived in explosive fashion during the second round. Yodlekpet began firing with the precision and power that earned him his fearsome reputation. A short left elbow connected cleanly, sending his rival crashing to the mat for the first knockdown. The 29-year-old Mammadov rose to beat the count, but he found himself back on the canvas moments later after absorbing a thunderous left straight.
Mammadov survived the round and emptied his gas tank in the third frame with solid hooks in a last-ditch effort to turn the tide. Yodlekpet brushed off the Azerbaijani's strikes and continued landing his power shots. When the final bell sounded, all three judges awarded the bout to "The Destroyer," who secured his ninth victory in the promotion and improved his overall record to 93-39 while snapping his frustrating alternating pattern.
Ramazanov Suffers Devastating Leg Break, Abdelali Wins Via Injury
The featured attraction between Elies Abdelali and former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Alaverdi "Babyface Killer" Ramazanov ended in heartbreaking fashion when the Russian veteran suffered a catastrophic leg injury.
Their featherweight Muay Thai contest lasted mere seconds before Ramazanov broke his left leg while throwing a low kick just 27 seconds into the opening stanza, forcing the referee to immediately wave off the contest.
Abdelali was awarded the TKO victory, improving his record to 10-1 and extending his winning streak. However, the nature of the finish prevented either fighter from showcasing their elite skills.
The injury represents a massive setback for "Babyface Killer," who was looking to continue his climb back toward World Title contention following his recent knockout victory.
