ONE Friday Fights 131 Results: Decho Gets Revenge, Yunusov Scores Knockout To Remain Undefeated
The world's largest martial arts organization closed out October in spectacular fashion with ONE Friday Fights 131, delivering another thrilling night of combat sports action from Bangkok on Halloween. In the main event, Decho Por Borirak evened the score with Suriyanlek Por Yenying in their highly anticipated flyweight Muay Thai rematch, and Russian teen star Rustam "Tomahawk" Yunusov kept his perfect record intact with a devastating first-round knockout in the featured attraction.
Decho Evens the Score With Dominant Rematch Victory
Decho Por Borirak authored a statement-making performance in the headlining bout, avenging his September loss to Suriyanlek Por Yenying with a convincing unanimous decision victory in their flyweight Muay Thai rematch.
The 22-year-old Singha Mawynn representative established control early in the battle by utilizing his extensive reach advantage and employing his versatile kicking game. Suriyanlek kept the fight competitive, as he found success with his massive looping overhand right.
The pivotal moment came in round two when Decho capitalized on an opening left by his opponent's aggressive combination. A thunderous knee to the exposed midsection momentarily folded Suriyanlek, allowing Decho to seize control in the clinch and deliver punishing knees to both the body and head.
That momentum shift proved decisive, as Decho dominated the final frame, controlling exchanges with composure and tagging Suriyanlek every time he tried to advance. When the final bell sounded, all three judges awarded the bout to Decho, giving him his 48th career victory and evening their rivalry at one win apiece.
Yunusov Maintains Perfect Record With Lightning-Fast KO
Eighteen-year-old striking phenom Rustam "Tomahawk" Yunusov maintained his unblemished record with a smashing first-round stoppage of two-time Rajadamnern Stadium World Champion Petsukumvit Tomthungyai in flyweight Muay Thai action.
The teenage sensation displayed patience and precision, allowing the experienced Thai veteran to press forward just long enough to find an opportunity to strike.
When the opening materialized, Yunusov attacked with vengenace. A crisp one-two combination flowed seamlessly into a left high kick, followed by a cross and crushing left hook that sent Petsukumvit crashing to the canvas. The veteran attempted to beat the count, but his unsteady legs betrayed him, prompting the referee to wave off the contest at 1:44 of the first round.
The impressive knockout victory improved Yunusov's pristine record to 15-0, marking his sixth win under the ONE Friday Fights banner and moving the rising star closer to earning the coveted US$100,000 contract with ONE Championship.
